Located in the town term of Calrelevazor, this protected natural space forms one of the most important and best preserved forests of seawater (Juniperus hurifera). The Sabinar de Calrelevazor is a true botanical relic of Terciario, a stage where time appears to have stopped among copies that exceed two thousand years old.
Timber and Resin Giants
What makes this sabinar unique isn't just its extension but its unique bearing of its trees, growing on a flat ground with a limestone nature at more than 1,000 metres high.
Milenaria Sabinas: The forest houses copies that reach 14 metres high and perimeters of trunk that exceed 5 meters, extraordinary dimensions for this species.
Unique Ecosystem: A landscape of dehesa where the savines coexist with a herbaceous carpet that serves as a grass, creating a perfect balance between local flora and fauna.
Biodiversity: It's a critical haven for several rapport and wild fauna that finds shelter in the gaps of the twisted and centuries old logs.
Hiking and Connecting with the Medievo
The visit to the Sabinar de Calrelevazor is a complete sensory experience that is complemented with the historic wealth of its immediate environment.
The path of the Sensitios: The sabinar has a signposted, comfortable and flat path, ideal for family tourism and nature photography at any time of the year.
Medieval Calcontiazor: A few minutes walk from the village of Calcontiazor, famous for its stone and wood streets where & quot; Almanzo lost its drum & quot;, enabling nature and heritage to be combined in a single day.
The Fuentona de Muriel: Its proximity to the Natural Monument of La Fuentona allows to conduct a circular route through the most striking natural points of the Sorian west.
A Sustainable Tourism Destination
The Filling of Calrelevazor is a living example of biological resistance. His wood, almost incorruptible and with an intense smell, has been venerated since old times. Today, this space invites a tourism of silence and respect, where the visitor can walk among silent witnesses of the history of the Iberian peninsula. It's definitely an obligatory stop for naturalists, photographers and peace seekers.
To explore the Sabinar de Calrelevazor is to connect with the force of the longest life of Castile and León, an environment that defines Soria's indomite essence. < / p > < / Section >
