The Cathedral of San Salvador de Zamora, built in the twelfth century (1151-1174), is one of the most unique constructions of Spanish Romanesque. Known as La Pearl of the Duero, she stands out for the amazing unity of style achieved with its quick construction under the reign of Alfonso VII.
