Built in 1711, the Toros de Béjar square, with an affectionately nicknamed & quot; La Ancianita & quot;, proudly holds the title of being the oldest bullfight square in Spain that remains. Located in the area of El Castañar, it's an indispensable monument to understand the evolution of the Tauromac and the popular architecture salmantin.
That Cultural Interest (BIC) good stands out for its unique polygonal plant and its privileged location in the heart of nature, surrounded by forests of chestnuts and oaks.
A Unique Design: Architecture and Curiosities
Unlike the monumental things of great cities, La Ancianita preserves an authentic and rustic flavour that makes it special:
Non-circular plant: its original structure isn't a perfect circle, and this reveals its experimental origins at the dawn of the 18th century.

The Taurino Museum: It houses an interpretation centre with old signboards, light suits and documents that account for three centuries of Tairian history at Salamanca.
