Reported Natural Monument, they are chimneys and cracks eroded at the limestone of the cliffs of Llanes that communicate the sea with the surface. The impact of the waves compresses the air and salted water at seawats-- passing them out as foam generators that reach more than 40 metres high and have a characteristic noise. Located in the eastern part of Asturias, they are the perfect coastal stop on the inland path, where the calcareous mackerel of the Picos of Europa dominates the horizon a few km away. They also connect naturally with the Cantabrian path leading west to the beaches and sea environment of Gijón or to the east to the prehistoric legacy of the Cueva de Altamira. < / p > < / Section >
