In its limestone pits are hidden lagoons of glacier origin as the Lake of Fuentes Carrionas and the well of Lomas, dominated by iconic peaks such as the Curavacas (2.524 m) and the Espigüete (2.450 m), a habitual haven for the Cantabic and Royal Eagle bear. To complete a complete route throughout the province of Palencia, it's necessary to ascend to the picturesque high mountain town of Cardaño de Arriba to start its best ascendations. To the south of the province, the landscape changes radically to the plains of Tierra de Campos, where they are forced to stop to admire the jewel of the Jacobeo Romanesque at Frommist and to follow the fluvial and historic path of the great work of the Ilustration, the Canal of Castilla. < / p > < / Section >
