His bison, horses and polychrome deer, painted more than 15,000 years ago, led this Santillana del Mar site to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. To secure their preservation, public visits are held at Neocuba, a millimetric replica within the Altamira Museum. Its strategic location at the Cantabric allows to design an ideal route by the Cornisa of Northern Spain. To the east, the journey border the coast to discover the geological phenomenon of the Arenillas Buffones in Llanes, and then set a course to the imposing heights of the Picos de Europa or to ascend along the coast to the cosmopolitan town of Gijón. < / p > < / Section >
