That colossal sculpture of more than 20 metres high was projected in 1931 by the great palentine artist Victorio Macho, whose remains rest at the hermitage excavated at the foot of the monument. Being one of the highest statutory christes in the world, its art déco avant-garde lines dominate the whole region of Tierra de Campos. It has a sculptor's Interpretation Center and offers the best panoramic and photo views of Palencia. < / p > < / Section >
