The Indispensable Taste Festival of Valladolid Cuisine
During the last week of May and the first days of June, the Province Pinchos Competition transforms the city into a miniature gourmet laboratory. More than 60 establishments compete for the prestigious "Golden Pincho", offering cutting-edge creations at popular prices.
Taste Route: From the Center to the Neighborhoods
- The Format: Each bar participant offers a unique pincho designed for the competition, compulsory paired with wines from the province's D.O. regions (Rueda, Ribera del Duero, Cigales, Toro or León).
- Key Areas: The heart of the event is located in the surroundings of the Main Square, Correos Street and the San Martín neighborhood, although the competition extends throughout the province.
- Popular Voting: In addition to professional judges, diners can vote for their favorite pincho through the official event app.
Visitor Information
The final is usually held in the Millennium Tower Building, where a Michelin-starred jury chooses the winners. It's the perfect opportunity to discover Valladolid's culinary talent in a festive and spring atmosphere.
Price of pinchos: While entering the route or watching the competition is free, tapas and pinchos at participating bars have a price for the public, which is usually set at a special rate for the route.
Daily program includes morning cultural activities (10:00-14:00), afternoon traditional performances (16:00-19:00), and evening celebrations with music and dance (20:00-23:00). Special events vary by day.
